Chronology
Catherine Ravenscroft follows, a documentary television journalist who has been exposing wrongdoings in long-respected institutions. The show starts right off with the two young men on the train in the first scene being upset, and the mediocre acting continues from there.
The story is unnatural
It’s like the actors don’t know how to portray their characters. Oddly inconsistent audio quality.
Kodi Smit-McPhee moves like a wet rag
I assume the narration is taken directly from the book, but that doesn’t always make sense in the context of the TV show. For example, sometimes the narration refers to Cate Blanchett’s character as her own experience, which is odd.
It’s all a bit silly
Sacha Baron Cohen seems out of place and strangely hysterical at times. One Star for Cute Cat is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
