Chronology
After a shipwreck, an intelligent robot named Roz is stranded on a deserted island. To survive in the harsh environment, Roz bonds with the island’s animals and cares for an orphaned baby goose. Lupita Nyong’o is joined by writer-director Chris Sanders to talk about notable credits and their time making The Wild Robot together.. According to author Peter Brown, the inspiration for "The Wild Robot" comes from a sketch he made of a robot in wood.

But it’s good to dream
The animation is very good, stunning at times. I liked the story, although I can see some people finding it too trite or corny. In a world that’s so divided, and a country that seems hopelessly divided, it’s very comforting to experience a story of heroes coming together, being able to accept their differences, and building a community. Unfortunately, that also makes it fiction.
I loved this movie
The fact that the title character and the character who inspires all the change is the ultimate "other" it only serves to make the idea more elegant. I imagine some people will think it’s manipulative and tugging at the audience’s heartstrings unnecessarily. But that’s part of the beauty for me.
