James Gunn had pitched ‘CREATURE COMMANDOS’ before taking over DC
Chronology
It follows a group of military superheroes consisting of a human leader, a werewolf, a vampire, Frankenstein’s monster, and a gorgon. Gunn then greenlit the project himself when he became the CEO of DC Studios. Series writer and creator James Gunn is seen in the opening titles with a laptop typing a script.

Featured in AniMat’s Crazy Cartoon Cast: The Return of the King (of the Hill) (2023). The DCU is off to a great start with these C Listers. I don’t care much for the Justice League members, but here’s hoping for more Superman in July and more Peacemaker too.

Keep it up. Hopefully there are no contradictions with The Suicide Squad 2021 and Peacemaker season 1. Also, keep Matt Reeve’s Batman in his own universe.
